If you are presenting a poster please note the following guidelines:
Your poster should be A0 in size (841 x 1189 mm or 33.1 x 46.8 inches) and Portrait (vertical) in orientation.
Posters will be displayed on poster boards and there will be 2 posters/board.
The posters will be displayed in the breakout areas of the conference venue for the duration of the conference.
you will be allowed a maximum of 1 slide and 1 minute
a buzzer will sound at the 1 minutes mark and you will finish
please do not try to cover too much in your one minutes, this is a highlight talk only
please rehearse your talk prior to the conference
The Sparkler schedule is as follows:
Poster numbers 1-12: Tuesday 10.15-10.30am
Poster numbers 13-24: Tuesday 12.15-12.30am
Poster numbers 25-36: Wednesday 10.15-10.30am
Poster numbers 36-46: Thursday 10.15-10.30am
Sparkler Slides must be loaded to the Dropbox folder by no later than COB 30 June 2016. You can access the folder here. Please name your file as follows: Lastname_Firstname
Your poster should be a brief and interesting summary of your research. It should be:
Have easy to read text – text that is a good size and colours that are easy to see and read
Be a simple design
Have attractive images
Please note that there will be a new 'Popular Vote' for the best poster and best student poster which shall be decided on by attendees at the conference and shall be awarded at the conference dinner on Thursday evening. The popular vote will be conducted throughout the week with a single vote allowed per attendee. Voting forms will be included in your conference bag and a collection box will be stored at the Registration/Help Desk at the entrance to the Messel Lecture Theatre.
The poster boards will be labeled with numbers (and stickers identifying student posters) and you must place your poster in the correct position. If you don't know your number, please contact the LOC for details.
